Title | 2 letters; Marquess of Exeter to 4th Earl of Sandwich. |
Description | The first letter states that Lord Carysfort will not be standing for the County of Huntingdon because he has accepted Exeter's offer of the Borough of Stamford. The second informs Lord Sandwich of Carysfort's intention to stand for Huntingdonshire after all. Carysfort believes that he and Lord Hinchingbrooke could have mutual interests and so Exeter has promised Carysfort any assistance in his power consistent with his promise to be directed by Lord Sandwich in disposing of the votes over which he has influence. |
