DescriptionThe flattering prospects I had when I last wrote have been disappointed. Sir Thomas Troubridge has now arrived, and there are differences between him and Sir Edward Pellew over the separate commands. Little has been done as yet in the naval way in India. The French have many opportunities to capture British trading vessels there.
