Feels ever more strongly now that an investigation of the Canon Law of Rome is necessary, because the majority of people are so unacquainted with the real state of the country, the real cause and root of the actual state of Ireland and the growing state of England, that the knowledge of the facts is the only hope there is for the preservation of the Institutions, Church and Throne of England. Discusses the link between the Catholic bishops and the Ribbonmen, the Fenians, etc. in Ireland. Enclosed: Monthly Letter of the Protestant Alliance 5th January 1866 A printed leaflet, purporting to show, among other things, the progress of Catholicism in England since 1851.
