DescriptionCannot comment on the claims of Godmanchester Corporation over the Ouse from Godmanchester to St. Ives while the matter is sub judice, but they are set out in Fox's History of Godmanchester, or copy of which Mr. Simpson possesses. Personally does not think that the Corporation has the power to accept any compromise of its rights. Feels sure that any scheme devised for the general alleviation of floods in the Ouse valley would meet with hearty support of the Corporation.
