Description | 7 George III Recites: 1) An Inquisition taken at the house of Robert Rowden and John Prentice, commonly called The Star and Garter Tavern, in New Bond Street, co. Middlesex, on 14th May, 1767, to inquire of the lunacy of the Rt. Hon. Dorothy Countess of Sandwich, the wife of the 4th Earl. It was found that she was of unsound mind. 2. Sufficient security was given to the Crown on her behalf by the 4th Earl, the Rt. Hon John Lord Viscount Hinchinbrook of Godmanchester and Sir Lawrence Dundas of Moore Park, co. Hertford, Baronet. Now the custody of Dorothy Countess of Sandwich during her lunacy and the regulation etc., of all lands and revenues to which she has, or may have any claim in cos. Berkshire and Middlesex or elsewhere in Great Britain and Ireland are granted to the Rt. Hon. John 4th Earl of Sandwich during the King's pleasure. |
