Description(a) from Frederick William Thorp, St. Ives, attorney and John Hill, St. Ives, farrier giving £15 as the amount of travelling expenses incurred in chasing (to Cambridge, London, Chester, Liverpool, London) Owens who had broken his promise to return to stand trial, after his attorney had allowed a visit to Cambridge to ask an under-graduate friend Mr. John Bage, St. Johns, to testify to his character at the sessions. (b) William Stafford, innkeeper, John Chapman, innkeeper, John Hill, Farrier and Benjamin Brown, hairdresser all of St. Ives, being bound as recognizances for Owen's appearance in court, asked for respite until the next sessions.
