TitleDepositions in the Cases of Eight Irishmen, The Foleys, Farrens and Stephen Macreedy Charged with assault on John Furniss at Woodhurst: Susanna Stokes, wife of John Stokes of Woodhurst gave evidence that the Irishmen, employed for reaping. William Fyson, farmer, Woodhurst, were having their suppers in her house and several Englishmen were drinking - all friendly. Later trouble arose outside and John Furniss and his brother Thomas were attacked with sickles. Evidence by William Fyson, farmer and by Edward Castle surgeon, Somersham as to the dangerous nature of the wounds.
