TitleBody-Stealing: Thomas Gilbert, Yaxley, labourer, said his mother, Jane Mason, had been recently buried and, learning from Abraham Rist that a body-stealer was at work, he watched with Rist in the churchyard, fired shots, then went home. Days later he found the body had been taken from the grave and had been buried in Peterborough. He suspected Patrick because the latter's cap had been found near the grave.
