TitleA letter to L. Reyholds, Esq., Chairman of the Quarter Sessions, Paxton House, St. Neots, from John Orridge, Governor of the Jail, Bury St. Edmunds (July 9, 1827) recalling that four years before the Rev. Mr. Hanley had asked him to go over to Huntingdon to meet a committee of magistrates respecting the erection of the French mule at the House of Correction. The writer had contracted with - Medlock of St. Neots for the erection of such a mule for 200 guineas - but had received no payment for out of pocket expenses etc. nor for two copies of a published book on prisons supplied to Mr. Margetts.
