DescriptionOral history interview with Mr Newman, in which he relates details of his life in Buckden including RAF and USAF activity in the area during the Second World War, and playing for the local football team. He also discusses his work as a 'bevin boy', after being conscripted to work in northern coal mines during the 1940s. Mr Newman and Mr Gibson examine programmes of local festivals, parish magazines, and newspapers. Later, there is reference to a photograph album, with the two men trying to identify individuals and places.
