TitleTransfer of a mortgage of estates at St Ives and Houghton for securing £500 and interest
Description1. Claudius Erskine Goodman late of 28 University Street, St Pancras, Middlesex, but now of 2 Westbourn Grove, Paddington, Middlesex. 2. William Tebbutt of Bluntisham, shopkeeper and Mary his wife (late Mary Bailey spinster). 3. Thomas Darlow the younger of Ramsey, grocer and draper. Recites two conditional surrenders dated 2 May 1844. Recites a default in payment by 2 to 1 of the said principal sum of £500. Now 3 has agreed to repay the said sum. This indenture witnesses the transfer of the said mortgage for £500 from 2 to 3. This deed is endorsed with a subsequent transfer as follows, 10 October 1864. Transfer of mortgage of estates in St Ives and Houghton for securing £500 and interest. 1. Thomas Darlow [as in previous transfer]. 2. William Tebbutt and his wife Mary [as in previous transfer]. 3. Waddelow Nix, now or late or Hartford, gentleman. Recites that the said principal sum of £500 is still owing to 1, but the interest has been paid. This indenture witnesses that the said mortgage has been transferred by 2 to 3, who agrees to repay the said sum of £500.
