Description1. Lydia Edith Owen of Mepal in the Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, spinster. 2. Sarah Elizabeth Owen of the same place, spinster. 3. William Owen of the same place, farmer. 4. Thomas Coote of Fenstanton, esquire. Consideration: £5500 from 4 to 1 and 2. Recites a testamentary appointment dated 7 March 1846 of Edith Warner, deceased (late wife of Charles Warner of Somersham, esquire) to Lydia Peacock Owen, wife of 3 and a daughter of the said Edith Warner. Recites that Lydia Peacock Owen and 3 contracted with 4 for the sale to him of the fee simple in possession of certain hereditaments and a corresponding customary estate in copyhold hereditaments for the sum of £6000. Recites indenture dated 22 November 1860. Recites that 4 was admitted tenant to the said copyhold hereditaments 17 May 1861. Recites a further indenture dated 22 November 1860. Recites that there are now 10 living children of the said Lydia Peacock Owen, namely Lydia Edith Owen and Sarah Elizabeth Owen aged 21 and over, and Thomas Owen, Agnes Owen, John Owen, Bertha Owen, Ida Owen, William Owen, Rupert Owen and Nellie Owen, all infants under the age of 21. This indenture now witnesses that 1 and 2 assign to 4 the said copyhold hereditaments in Fenstanton to which 4 was admitted on 17 May 1861.
