Henry Alexander Starkie Bence of Thorington Hall, Suffolk, esquire; Henry Bence Jones of 31 Lower Grosvenor Street, Middlesex, doctor of medicine. Recites lease and release dated 21/22 May 1809 [see 4670/17-18]. Recites lease and release dated 20/21 January 1830 [see 4670/19]. Recites an award dated 16 July 1840 made by the inclosure commissioners for Hilton awarding 1 allotments in lieu of his open field land. Recites that the great tithes of Hilton have been converted to a yearly rent charge of £255 15s under the Act for the Commutation of Tithes in England and Wales. 1. Recites a writing dated 10 October 1839 by the inclosure commissioners for the parish of Fen Drayton, Cambridgeshire, awarding allotments to 1 in lieu of his open field land. Recites lease and appointment and release dated – and – of 1833. Recites that the issue of the marriage of 1 and his wife Anna Maria were 3 children: Frances Matilda, now wife of the Reverend Ellis Walford, 2 and 3. Recites that as 1 appointed the sum of £4000 to his daughter Frances Matilda upon her marriage, he now wishes to appoint similar sums each to 2 and 3 upon their respective marriages, as is outlined by this indenture.
