TitleAgreement concerning legacies bequeathed by William Tebbutt
Description1. William Asplan the elder of Bluntisham, farmer, and Ann his wife, late Ann Tebbutt, widow. 2. Matthew Tebbutt of Bluntisham, gentleman; Jonas Tebbutt of Earith, gentleman; William Asplan the younger of Bluntisham, farmer, and Mary his wife, late Mary Tebbutt, spinster. Recites will of William Tebbutt of Bluntisham, gentleman. Recites that upon the decease of William Tebbutt, his personal estate was insufficient to pay the intended legacies [recites individual legacies due to Ann Asplan, late Tebbutt, and 2.] Recites that it has been agreed to pay the sum of £2800 to the said Ann, wife of William Asplan, for her life. After her death, £2000 is to be paid as set out by her in her will, and the remaining £800 which is secured by the note of the said William Asplan, senior, to be paid to the said Mary Asplan nee Tebbutt, daughter of the said Ann Asplan nee Tebbutt. It is now agreed between 2 and 1 that the said Ann Asplan can reclaim the whole of the interest due upon the sum of £2800 during her life, and that she can dispose of the said sum of £2000 in her will as she sees fit. And that upon her decease, the said William Asplan the elder as executor shall have full power to transfer the said sum of £800 to Mary Asplan the younger.
