TitleCovenant to surrender copyholds of the Manor of Bluntisham Stockings and Somersham Soake to secure £500 and interest
Description1. Stephen Feary of Bluntisham, farmer. 2. Robert Cunninghame Taylor of Boughton Place, Boughton Monchelsea, Kent, esquire. Consideration: £500 plus interest from 2 to 1 to be repaid by 16 July 1853. Recites that on 10 June 1840 2 surrendered the below mentioned messuages and lands to the Lords of the Manors of Bluntisham Stockings and Somersham Soake in consideration of the sum of £3500 paid to him by Henrietta Taylor and Georgiana Preston Taylor. To the use of the said Henrietta Taylor and Georgiana Preston Taylor, upon proviso that the said surrender to be void upon payment by 1 of the sum of £3500 to the said Henrietta Taylor and Georgiana Preston Taylor. Recites that the said sum of £3500 is still outstanding, but that all interest has been paid (up to the 10 July). Recites that 1 has requested 2 to advance him the sum of £500. Now 1 agrees to surrender to the respective lords of the manors the following properties. Firstly. A messuage in Bluntisham with a close of pasture formerly in the several occupations of Mssrs Gregory and Cox. Plot of land (4a 3r) lying in West Fen, Bluntisham. Plot of land (49a 1r 24p) lying in Mill Field, Bluntisham. All of the above now occupied by 1 and to which he was admitted tenant on the 22 October 1839 under the will of his mother Sarah Feary deceased. And also a plot of land (7a 2r) lying on the Heath in Bluntisham. A plot of land (21a) lying in Mill Field, Bluntisham. A plot of land (21 a) lying in Ingham Fields in Bluntisham. A plot of land (28a 2r 8p) lying in Earith Meadow. All of which said four allotments are within the Manor of Somersham with the Soake and to which 1 was admitted on 22 October 1829 under the will of his father John Feary, deceased. Secondly. Messuage or farm house in Bluntisham. Allotment of land (14a) lying on the Heath in Bluntisham. Plot of land (4a) lying in the West Fen in Bluntisham. To all of which 1 was admitted as tenant on 12 November 1839 under the will of his mother Sarah Feary, deceased. Also a plot of land (3a) in Mill Field in Bluntisham to which 1 was admitted tenant 12 November 1839 under the will of his father John Feary, deceased. All of which said hereditaments lie within the Manor of Bluntisham Stockings. To the use of 2 but subject to the conditional surrender dated 16 June 1840 made by 1 to the use of the said Henrietta Taylor and Georgiana Preston Taylor.
