Recites that the said William Asplan the younger died in 1846. Recites deed poll dated 28 June 1846 by which Jonas Tebbutt, one of the executors of the said will, renounced his executorship. Recites that at the time of his death the said William Asplan was insolvent and his estate was insufficient for the payment of the testators, therefore 1 has agreed to convey to 4 the following properties for the above consideration. Freehold messuage and farm house with a close of pasture (6a 3r 17p) adjoining called the Home Close abutting on the High Road, formerly occupied by William Asplan the younger and now by 4. Also a plot of land (half acre) lying in front of the said messuage but on the other side of the public highway.
