Description1) Clementia Puckle of Broadwater Road, Worthing, Sussex, widow. 2) Jane Harriet Steinman of Broadwater Road, Worthing, wife of Maltravers Harcourt Collier Bernhard Steinman of Lansdowne Cottage, Sevenoaks, Kent, a colonel in HMS Royal Artillery. 3) John Turner of the Cottage, Rickinghall, Suffolk, esquire. 4) Joseph Kaye one of the masters of HMS Supreme Court and James Kaye of 11 Old Square, Lincolns Inn, Middlesex, esquire, barrister at law. Recites: i) the will and death of Jane Powell Tyndall, widow (see 2651/T9). ii) The sum of £4,000 bequeathed in the above will to 4) upon certain trusts is now represented by the sum of £3,143 guaranteed stock of the Oude and Rohilamd Railway and £252 2s 10d of the like stock of the Great Indian Peninsula Railway. iii) 2) is now entitled to a moiety of the above trust investments subject to the life interest of 1) and to three indentures. iv) By three indentures of 14 June, 16 June, and 30 August 1880, 2) has charged her half share of the legacy and investment with the repayment to 3) of the sum of £250. v) 2) needs the sum of £1,000 and an agreement has been reached whereby 4) will sell part of the investments in order to raise the £1,000. Now, in consideration of £750 paid by 4), by the direction of 1), to 2), and of £250 paid by 4), by the direction of 1) and 2) to 3). 1) releases to 4) from the trusts of the recited will in so far as they direct 4) to pay 1) the income of the above £1,000. 3) releases 2)’s half share of the sum of £4,000 and the investments thereof and also 4) and 2) and her husband from all principal and interest secured by the three recited indentures. 2) release 4) from every trust contained in the will in so far as the same relates to the sum of £1,000 or the investments representing the same.
