Description | To her son, William Spencer Peacock, all her household furniture and effects, linen, printed books, pictures, prints, one dozen silver forks and the sum of £20 to be paid immediately after her death. To her executors, her gold watch with the chain and appendages and also her trinkets to be delivered into the hands of Braylesford Harry Beedham of Kimbolton, solicitor, and to be kept by him until her granddaughter, Caroline Mary Peacock, daughter of the above William Spencer Peacock, shall attain the age of 18 years or be married. To her executors, all her silver articles (except such as by the will are given to her son) and also all her plated articles to be delivered into the hands of Beedham and to be divided equally by him amongst all her grandchildren who shall be living at her death. To her sisters, Eliza Sarah Spencer and Louisa Spencer, the sum of £10 each for the purchase of mourning rings. To her friends, Joseph Hughes Hemming of Kimbolton, surgeon, and Benjamin Prior of Leighton Bromswold, farmer, the sum of £10 each. To Marian Asplan, wife of her son the above William Spencer Peacock, her clothes and wearing apparel. To Hemming and Prior as her trustees, all her real estate (except such as is vested in her as trustee or mortgagee) upon trust to sell the same and to pay the money arising from such sale or sales to her son, William Spencer Peacock, for his own absolute use and benefit. To Hemming and Prior, all her money, securities for money and the residue of her personal estate and effects upon trust to convert into money such part of the personal estate as shall not consist of money (but nevertheless with full power to retain any investment on mortgage), to invest the monies in government or other securities and to pay the annual income from this investment to her son, William Spencer Peacock, during his life, then to his wife, Marian Asplan, during her life or until her remarriage, and then equally to all the children of William Spencer Peacock, and if there is no child surviving, then equally to William Henry Peacock, Samuel Peacock and Benjamin Peacock, the sons of Edward Peacock, her late husband’s brother. To Hemming and Prior, all the real estate vested in her as trustee or mortgagee upon trust, after the deaths of William Spencer Peacock and Marian Asplan, to apply all or a part of the income therefrom for the education, maintenance and advancement of any sons of William Spencer Peacock under 21 years of age and of any daughters under that age and unmarried. Appoints Hemming and Prior executors of her will. |
