Questioning Kingsley's assertion that evil is something that resists God. Asks after Mrs Kingsley. His own wife was not expected to live and he experienced much doubt. She began to mend thanks to a medicine that was merely given as an experiment. [Written on a circular from the Royal Dublin Society seeking subsciptions for covering the cattleyard].
