| Description | Re. sale at Glatton. A Mr. Plumbtree is interested. 25 years purchase, a good price, seems to be now agreed on. Some disagreement re. Cotton's decision to reserve the Meare and therefore the fishery or boatgates at £12 p.a. Plumbtree argues that it is part of the Manor and that if Cotton retains it he might try to drain it and that consequently the fishery would be destroyed. Was not really satisfied re. it but would still proceed with the purchase. Very busy. Would like an answer re. proposed length of stay at Stretton etc. |
