Description(1) Samuel Coles, Kingsthorpe, Northants, gent. (2) Thomas Stevens, Holcott, Beds, gent. Hunts Closes with a shepherd's house therein, known by the names of the Summer Ground; the Vaughan Ground; the Hill Close and the meadow ground, all in Molesworth and heretofore in the tenure of Francis Say, gent and now in occupation of (1), with all apps. except reserved to (1), all trees, hedges, woods, etc. and ingress and egress to deal with them. For 14 years, at £84 p.a. and £5 an acre per year for every acre ploughed. Power of distraint to (1). (2) to do repairs, (1) allowing him thorns for mending gaps and timber to repair house. (2) to keep the woods safe from negligence. (1) to pay all taxes, except quartering of soldiers and charges for the same. Endorsed: that (1) allows (2) 20/- p.a. towards repairing the hedges about the coppices and also allows (2) to lop the willows.
