Description(1) Henry Godfrey, Potton, Beds, gent. Richard Godfrey, Broughton, gent. (2) William Bedell, eldest son and heir of Silvester Bedell, Molesworth, gent. Recites: (i) mortgage of 8 Oct. 1629 by which Silvester Bedell granted to (1) for ever 2 tenements and all meadows called Hunts Closes in which the said tenements stand (160a.) in the parish of Molesworth with all apps., for £550, unless Silvester Bedell paid £583 by 1 Aug. 1630. (ii) Death of Silvester Bedell without fulfilling this condition, nor was it fulfilled by (2), so premises forfeited to (1). (iii) Conveyance made to (1) only being in trust for Anne Trice, then of Brampton, widow, dau. of Henry Godfrey who did pay the £550 originally lent. (iv) Marriage of Anne Trice with Robert Pepys of Brampton, gent, whereby he hath right to the said premises and to the money due. Now (1) to (2) for £629 paid to Henry Godfrey, Robert and Anne Pepys, and with assent of Robt. and Anne. All those tenements, pastures, premises with apps. and deeds re. the same, for ever.
