TitleAssignment of Lease
Description(1) Ambrose Wormsted, St. Olave's parish, South-warke, Surrey, Galley potmaker. (2) James Williams, Rederith, Surrey, brewer. Recites: Lease of 16 Dec. 1641 from Rice Williams, Rederith Beerbrewer to John Smalman citizen and merchant taylor of London and Anne his wife of a messuage with 5 rooms in Rederith built by R. Williams out of his adjoining brewhouse with tenement of John Laxton joyner on the east, messuage of R. Williams on the west, River Thames of the north and mill in occup. of Henry Jesson, gent on the south, which R. Williams holds from Maximilian Jancey, merchant of the free staple of England, for the lives of John and Anne Smalman at £6. p.a. Now (1) to (2) for certain sum of money. Said lease and all premises therein, for lives of John and Anne Smalman. Clear except for yearly rent in lease and except for lease of 21 Dec. 1647 between (1) and John John Philpot, of Rederith, Surrey, black-smith of said messuage in Rederith where Philpot now lives. Annual rent of £6. now to be payable to (2) during time of said lease. Enclosed: (i) Bond 20 Apr. 1647 (1) Ambrose Wormsted. (2) Rice Williams. In £50 to pay yearly rent of £6. to (2) and to keep other covenants in lease of 16 Dec. 1641. (ii) ? ?
