(2) John Roberts, Warbleton, Sussex, gent and Thomas Kilborne, citizen and goldsmith of London. (3) Henry Wade, citizen and vintner of London and Margaret, his wife, formerly the wife of the said Thomas Hemsley. Recites: (i) Deed to Lead Uses of Fine of 9 Feb. 1649 from Thomas Hemsley and Margaret, his wife, to Sarah Dyke, one of the sisters of Sir Thomas Dyke, Waldron, Sussex, Kt., for £200, 1 messuage; 1 barn; 1 malthouse; 1 stable; 1 orchard; and 2 gardens with 18a. arable land, 12a. meadow; 20a. pasture; 4a. wood with apps. in Warbleton, Sussex, called Kenchlies Aveles peinopillions (?) and Stephens fields to use of Sarah Dyke and heirs for ever. (ii) Bargain and Sale of 15 Sep. 1655 from Sarah Dyke and Margaret Kemsley to Jonathon Barford of said lands. (iii) Said Margaret having estate for life in said premises. (iv) Release of 21 Aug. 1669 from Jonathon Barford by direction of (3) to Richard Taylor, citizen and vintner of London of said premises, with a covenant from the said Richard Taylor to convey his interest in the premises to (3) on payment of £200 on 30 Aug. last. (v) Bargain and Sale of 28 April 1653 from Richard Hodgson, West ....eale, Lincs, Clerke, bro. and heir of James Hodgson, late of Grayes Inne, gent, decd, to Thomas Hemsley of one garden plot of 80' behind Falcon Court in St. Sepulchers parish, London. (vi) (1) being entitled to reversion of premises in Sussex, after death of said Margaret and repayment of mortgage and also hath the possession of the said premises in London, but at the moment is destitute and wishes to dispose of said premises and reversion and (3) being willing to accomodate him and give him a livelihood for life. Now (1), (2) and (3) agree that (1) shall forth with convey his interest in said property to (3) and heirs for ever and that Henry Wade shall enter into a bond to (2) in £200 to pay £20 p.a. to (2) during (1)'s life for use of (1) for subsistence. |
