TitleAssignment of Term
Description(1) Walter Burton, St. Clement Danes, w'out the Bars of the New Temple, London, bricklayer. (2) Walter Lee, St. Clement Danes, Middx. chandler. Recites Henry Holford of Longstanton, Cambs. and Jane his wife by fine of this Easter Term and Deed to Lead Uses of Fine of 18th inst., granting to (1) land and messuages in Oldwich Close, St. Giles in the Fields, by the name of 3 messuages and 3a. of pasture, for a term of 51 years. Now (1) to (2) Said piece of ground in the west side of Oldwich Close as staked out to be enclosed 48' by 47' by 150' by 120'. For 51¾ years and 80 days, at 50/- p.a., and 6/8d. for every default in paying rent. With power of distraint to (1). (2) to pay quit rent of 6/8d. to the king; to fence property within the next 6 months, to pay all taxes and to pay towards the paving of Drury Lane the sum allotted. To do repairs. To have the right to use the soil and rights of ingress and egress. To make all necessary watercourses go by gutters into Drury Lane. Document torn.
