Messuage called Pitsey Hall with all apps. in Pitsey, late in occup. of Barnard Wharton, gent, and now in that of 2. And fields in occup. of 2., i.e. The Island (100a); The Weekehouse field (20a.); The Saltmarshes (90a.); The Wharfefield (25a); The Churchfeild (25a); The Kitchin feild (18a); The Meadow feild (4a); a field formerly called a Meadow (12a); The Morley peeces (8a); The Northlands (120a); 4a. of which called the Vangehooke is in the parish of Vange, all part of the Manor of Pitsea. Except timber and trees reserved to 1. but 2. to have enough for fencing etc. And 2. to be allowed to keep Court there and have lodging for the same. For 19 years, at £150 p.a. plus an extra £10 for every acre of The Island and the meadow plowed. 2. to do repairs; 1. to make twice-yearly inspections; 2 to plant an orchard; 2. to spread all hay, straw and dung on said premises. And shall lay down for pasture the Churchfield 7 years before end of term and the Wharfefield 5 years before. And shall leave at least 40a well fallowed at Mich. before end of said term; 2 to cut no trees; if 1. holds court more than once in every 2 years he is to pay expenses; 2 not to sublet without authority of 1. Power of distraint to 1. 2. to be given allowance by 1. for all land left fallow at end of term.
