And following closes in Pitsey in occup. of 2: The Island (100a.); The Weekehouse field(20a.); The Saltmarshes (90a.); The Wharfe field (25a.); The Church field (25a.); The Kitchen field (18a.); The Medowe field (4a.); The Morly peece (8a.); The North-lands (120a.); 4a. of which called the Vangehooke is in the parish of Vange. Except for timber and trees etc. except for hedging and fencing; And except for free liberty for 1. and his representatives to keep Court in said demised messuage, and except lodging to be given to them for said Courts. For 21½ years at £140 p.a. plus another £10 for every acre of The Island or the meadow land ploughed. 1. to put premises in tenantable repair within a year; 2. to set an orchard of about ½ an acre and to make a garden within the term; 2. to do repairs; 1. to have power of inspection; 2. to use all hay, straw and dung on said premises, and to lay down for pasture The Church field 7 years before the end of said term and The Wharfefield 5 years before and to leave 40a. well fallowed at the Mich. before the end of the said term; Not to plough any land within 2 years tog. w'out giving it a rest in between; Not to cut any trees; To allow 1. to keep Court in said messuage and lodge there; 2. to collect quitrents for 1. and to be allowed £5 p.a. for this and towards their firing; 2. not to sublet w'out 1's permission; Power of distraint to 1. 1. to pay taxes.
