Description1. Charles Bertie, Uffington, Lincs., Esq., eldest son and heir at law of Chas. Bertie, late of Uffington, Lincs., Esq., decd. 2. Forth Winter, Norfolk St., St. Clement Danes, Middx., gent. 3. John Mayer, Greys Inn, Mddx., gent. So as to bar all estates tail and remainders in the Manors, messuages etc. hereinafter mentioned to be bargained and sold, and for 5/- from 2. to 1., 1. to 2. Manors of Uffington, Tallington and Newstead with apps. in Lincs. Rectory of Tallington. Advowsons of the parish churches of Uffington and Tallington; and all other manors, rectories, advowsons and lands of 1. in Uffington, Tallington, Newstead, West Deeping, Market Deeping, Deeping St. James, Deeping Fen, Barholme cum Stow and Stamford, Lincs, with apps. formerly the inheritance of Charles Bertie, Great gdfather of 1. And the rectory of Great Stewkley, with all apps., and the Manor House of Great S. called Gamoyes Manor with all apps; and a parcel of ground on which a windmill formerly stood in Great S. Moiety of the Manor of Broughton with all apps., and all other property of 1. in Great S., Lt.S., and Molesworth and Somersham, Hutchinbrooke, Herford and Bythorne with apps. which were formerly the inheritance of Isabel or Mary Norborne. To make 2. perfect tenant of the freehold against whom 2 Common Recoveries with double voucher may be brought, one for property in each county, Lincs and Hunts. in which 3. shall be demandant and 1. vouchee, to use of 1. Added: acknowledged by 1. before Thomas Bennett, 23 April 1755. Endorsed: 1) Inrolled in the High Court of Chancery being first stamped 26 April 1755. 2) Examined and compared with original deed by me 12 May 1759 - G. Williams, Clerk to Mr. White.
