Description | 1. Sir Robert Dixon, Giddinge Abbott, gent. 2. Sir Robert Cotton, Conington, Hunts, Kt., and John Cotton, the younger, Aylton, Hunts, gent, nephew to Sir Robert Cotton. Recites letters patent of Q. Eliz. of 6 May, 1578 which demised to Richard Thurbeston all Her Highness lands in Giddinge Abbott, part of the Manor of Giddinge Abbott, for 21 years, from 1591, at £12.3.10d. p.a. All the estate of Richard Thurbeston in the said lands is set over to 1. Now 1. for £240 to 2. All right, title, term of years etc., of 1. in the said lands and premises for the residue of the term. Endorsed: Memorandum: that the lease coming by assignments to 2., was by the said Sir Robt. Cotton upon the payment of £240 to him by John Cotton of London, gent., his uncle, to him the said John Cotton assigned - 22 May, 1610. |
