Recites letters patent of Q. Eliz. of 6 May, 1578 which demised to Richard Thurbeston all Her Highness lands in Giddinge Abbott, part of the Manor of Giddinge Abbott, for 21 years, from 1591, at £12.3.10d. p.a. All the estate of Richard Thurbeston in the said lands is set over to 1. Now 1. for £240 to 2. All right, title, term of years etc., of 1. in the said lands and premises for the residue of the term. Endorsed: Memorandum: that the lease coming by assignments to 2., was by the said Sir Robt. Cotton upon the payment of £240 to him by John Cotton of London, gent., his uncle, to him the said John Cotton assigned - 22 May, 1610. |
