Description | (1) John Cotton, London, gent. (2) Sir Robert Cotton, Conington, Kt., and Bart. Recites: Letters patent of Queen Eliz. of 30 June 1590 which granted to (1) all the Manor of Giddings Abbott with apps., sometime in the occupation of Richard Button and sometime belonging to the late dissolved Monasterye of Ramsey. And the Advowson of the rectory of Steeple Giddinge parish Church for ever. Now (1) to (2) for 31 years at £80 p.a. Manor of Giddings Abbott with apps., except the next presentation of the rectory. (2) agrees with (1) that if rents 40 days late (2) will pay 40/- for every 10 days it is overdue, after the 40 days. With power of distraint to (1). (2) to do repairs.
