DescriptionThis includes payments of the Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Cambridge Without, for contributions out of the Poor rate towards the Common Fund of the Union and other expenses; to William George Hobbs, Treasurer of the Guardians of the poor of the Chesterton region; for the salary of Assistant Overseer William Campbell; to the Corporation of Cambridge for expenses incurred in collection of rates (Jarrold Sons Ltd, Heffer & Sons Ltd., postage and receipt stamps, S.G. Marshall), receipt of Poor Rates and General District Rates from named individuals, court costs to S.Squires, conveying books to and from audit.
