DescriptionThis bundle includes payments of the Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Cambridge Without, for contributions out of the Poor rate towards the Common Fund of the Union and other expenses; to William George Hobbs, Treasurer of the Guardians of the poor of the Chesterton region; for the salary of Assistant Overseer William Campbell; to the Corporation of Cambridge for expenses incurred in the collection of rates (A.P. Dixon, W. Heffer & Sons, postage and receipts stamps, S.G. Marshall), reimbursement of rates to Miss F. S. Tompkins and Baron von Hugel, court costs to A.W. DIlley, receipt of Poor Rate and General District Rates for named individuals, income tax and house duty.
