DescriptionThis bundle includes payments by the Overseers of the Poor, and Assistant Overseer Mr Wilfrid C. Gait, for contributions out of the Poor rate towards the county rate and higher education to Edmund Henry Parker, Treasurer to the Guardians of the Poor; for the salary of Assistant Overseer William Campbell; upkeep of St Giles' churchyard, St Clement's church, Holy Trinity church, Abbey church (Alfred Butler, VIctoria Avenue, Cambridge), to Mr G.S. Cooke and Fred E. Fordham (8 North Terrace, Cambridge) for making returns for deaths, receipt of Poor Rates and General District Rates for named individuals, for Corporation of Cambridge for expenses incurred, including A.P. Dixon, W. Heffer & Sons, postage, S.G. Marshall (printers); W. Moss (taxi hire), poor rates reimbursed to 20 named individuals, income tax and house duty.
