DescriptionThis bundle of vouchers includes payments by the Overseers of the Poor for contributions out of the Poor rate towards the county rate and higher education to Edmund Henry Parker, Treasurer to the Guardians of the Poor; for the salary of Assistant Overseer, Wm Campbell; for expenses incurred in the registration of voters to Theobald Mathew; for the upkeep of the churchyards of Holy Sepulchre, St Mary the Less, St Mary the Great (work carried out by George Willers, nurseryman, Florist and seed merchant), St Benedict's (G Gardiner and Mrs FS Collins) and for painting at St Clements church by Mr Pauley; court costs payable to Joseph Potts, Warrant Officer; stationary supplied by Foister and Jagg, W Eaden Lilley and Co, Wm Barber and Co, expenses due to the Corporation for rate collection; to W Moss for carriage hire; and reimbursements to the following rates payers: CJ Challors of 4 Rose Crescent; King and Shaper of 6 Bridge Street; J Hutchinson of Regent Street; FG Postaus [?] of St Barnabus Road; Robert Smith of Norfolk Street; Arthur Leach of Regent Terrace; Frederick Collison of 2 Drummer Street; Julia Adams of Earl Street; Margaret Newall of Madingley Road; SG Palmer of Market Hill; John Pegott of 4 Christ's Lane; W Shanks of Collier Road; Gertrude M Gellon of Grange Road; Alfred JG Hartman of Market Street; Charles Wells of 34-35 Fitzroy Street; Laurie and McConnal Ltd of Fitzroy Street; William B Heath of 24 Guest Road; Wm Bell and sons of Downing Street; George W Haslop of Shamrock Passage; FJ Boggs of 27 Grafton Street; Mrs T Thompson of Malting Lane and A Nichols of 4 Green Street.
