DescriptionThis account book records the precepts of the Guardians of the poor, Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridge Borough Assessment Committee and the Borough of Cambridge; salaries, wages and clerical assistance; printing, stationary and postage; ratepayers rates and costs; valuation expenses; Government contributions, borough treasurer's petty cash; rating authority expenses account; rate collection costs, sundry debtors and creditors; and rate income. For each category the date, the account for corresponding credit or debit; a description of the payment and the amount is recorded.
