TitleAbstract of accounts
DescriptionA report by the accountant introduces the year's accounts and each bound copy contains a contents page. The accounts detailing the years income and expenditure are arranged into sections on the Borough Fund Account; Capital Accounts; District Fund; Special Accounts for private street improvements, free public libraries, education, and police pensions; sinking funds; an aggregate statement of liabilities and assets; mortgage debt; redeemable stock debt; and a schedule of works in public streets. Earlier unbound copies of the accounts do not differentiate between different accounts. Each entry is given a description of the nature of the payment and a value for the year. Each page is totalled and carried forward to the following page.
