DescriptionProgress photographs taken 2 Oct 1969, 17 Dec 1969, 2 Mar 1970, 12 Mar 1970, 14 Apr 1970, 2 Jul 1970, 25 Aug 1970, 1 Dec 1970, and 12 May 1971. Images show original condition of road and paving, laying of tarmac, men working, completed junctions, kerbing etc. (The approach road to the bridge from the north, Elizabeth Way, was created from Cam Road, Haig Road and part of Hawthorn Way (which originally ran from Chesterton Road to Milton Road with a bend in the middle) and a new piece of road between Hawthorn Way and Haig Road. Roundabouts were built at the junctions of Elizabeth Way with Chesterton Road and Milton Road, with a new piece of road extending Chesterton High Street to Elizabeth Way roundabout).
