DescriptionThe school attendance committee met monthly to: discuss cases of children absent from school; issue cautionary notices to parents; issue orders for specific children to attend school; issue orders for the payment of school fees and fines; issue orders for parents to appear before magistrates, and excuse children from school attendance or the taking of exams. The latter two volumes are indexed.
