Housing includes: condition of dwellings in the Borough (demolition of unfit dwellings), condition of houses outside the Borough, housing demand (demand in the Borough, demand outside the Borough), housing programme in the Borough (houses on new land, siting of new houses, redevelopment), development outside the Borough, Borough housing demand and programme - summary of data and assumptions. Livelihood includes: 1931 and 1948. Future size includes: the attractions of Cambridge, no advantage in further growth, limitation in size. Places of work in the Borough includes: larger factories, local shopping centres, workshops, yards, etc, enterprises suitable for shopping centres and service industry sites, livelihoods carried on from dwellings. Outline development plan for the Borough includes: provisional boundary, land available, development plan - summary of provisions (provisional boundary, housing sites, future gross neighbourhood densities, schools, University and Colleges, local shopping centres, industrial sites). |
