DescriptionA public enquiry was held to establish whether Mr W Daisley, the owner of 130-138 Lower York Street, or the Corporation was liable to pay for the improvements undertaken to the water closets of those premises. This material consists of copies of correspondence from Duncan Forbes, Medical Officer of Health to Mr W Daisley; the report of the Inspector of Nuisances, a memorial by W Daisley against the cost of the improvements charged to him and correspondence between the Local Government Board and the town clerk.
