DescriptionThree separate sub-bundles: (1) Printed prospectus for sale of 20,000 £100 shares in the Company of Proprietors of the Great Level of the Wash (5 copies) with 2 reports on its feasibility by John Rennie, and one by W.C. Mylne, dated 1837-1840.
(2) Draft for sale of land in Wood Fen, Littleport to William Shingles of Littleport (an annotated draft, cut into two pieces), with abstract of title from Lord Hardwick's sales of 1827, and a covenant for production of deeds, 1875.
(3) Correspondence, mainly from Mr Duncan to Samuel Wells, and bills in connection with the Eastern Counties Railway Company line across the fens from Ely to Whittlesea, and other lines, including cost of bridge and repair of banks, 1844-47.
