DescriptionBundle of legal papers concerning the Commissioners of Sewers for Wisbech Hundred's claim that Sir John Chicheley and Nathanial Kinderley have blocked the Wisbech River with a dam, and made a new cut under the west bank of the River to divert the water. This case was heard in the Court of Chancery in June 1723. Contains a legal brief for the defendants; petition of the Commissioners for the Hundred of Wisbech; petition of the Bedford Level Corporation; decree of permanent injunction and notes about the case. Also contains the legal brief in the case of the King vs Nathanial Kindersley, which had been considered in the Court of the Exchequer in February 1723/4.
