DescriptionBundle of [legal] papers concerning William Walbancke, Elizabeth Walbancke and Peter van den Ancher. Henry Howard, Duke of Norfolk, demised a parcel of land to the late Matthew Taylor, the former husband of Elizabeth Walbanke. Matthew Taylor assigned the lease to John Colvile, but failed register it at the Fen Office. Contains the answers of the Bedford Level Corporation; the Bill of complaint; a writ served to the Bedford Level Corporation for them to appear and to answer the complaint against them; copies of the decree delivered by William Walbancke; and a note detailing that the plaintiffs intend to move the Court to compel the Bedford Level Corporation to register the lease.
