DescriptionBundle of [legal] case papers concerning Elizabeth Frances McDonough's claim against Samuel Wells. Claim relates to the legacy left to Jane Faery by John Richards when she is 9 and which is placed in trust and administered by Samuel Wells senior. Under age, but with permission of her guardian, Jane marries Joseph McDonough, and they have one child Elizabeth Frances Macdonough. Joseph has a brother John on whose death, intestate and without enough money to pay for his funeral, Joseph is accused of misappropriating Jane's money in sorting out his brother's estate.

Jane Farey's second husband is Samuel Wells and these case papers result from Elizabeth Frances' settlement of her mother's estate following her death in 1825.
