TitlePetition of the Owners and Occupiers of Lands in Haddenham, Wilburton, Sutton and Stretham
DescriptionThe petitioners represent that they have spent more than £5,000 in obtaining an Act of Parliament and improving the drainage of their district since 1726, but that this has been ineffectual as the [Hundred Foot Bank] between Branghill Gault Pits and the Hermitage and the north bank of the River Ouse between [Aldreth High Bridge] and Stretham Ferry is too low. They also ask for the officer appointed for their district to be replaced, as he is partial and acts in his own interest. Forty four signatories.
