TitlePetition of the Inhabitants of Ramsey, Benwick and Doddington
DescriptionThe petitioners represent that the River Nene has been scoured out between Flood's Ferry and Ramsey Mere Mouth, but a new cut is still needed to improve the drainage. They also ask for the River Nene to be scoured out between [Ramsey] Mere and Bodsey Gravel. They believe that this will cost about £80, and are willing to advance the money needed for the works if it can be repaid from the taxes due in November 1735 and November 1736. Six signatories.
