TitlePetition of the Owners and Occupiers of Lands on Both Sides of the River Nene in March
DescriptionThe petitioners represent that their lands have been flooded for more than 2 years. They ask for Well Creek to be scoured out through Upwell and Outwell to the lower part of Popham's Eau; for the River Nene to be embanked between Popham's Eau, Flood's Ferry and Angle Bridge; and for a proper stop to be made to prevent the waters from Stanground Sluice running through Horseway Bridge. They ask for relief, as they have spent considerable sums of money embanking the River Nene. Seventy signatories.
