| Description | The petitioners represent that their lands between Manea and Salter's Lode have been flooded, especially since Thomas Carter took up the claw [sluice] at Welches Dam. They ask for the Sixteen Foot Drain to be scoured, and for a new sluice to be built between Well Creek and the Sixteen Foot Drain. They also ask for the Forty Foot Drain to be drained into the [Old] Bedford River, and for a drain to be made between the lower end of Sixteen Foot Drain and the Counterwash Drain.
