DescriptionLetter to the Bedford Level Corporation, concerning an almost £3 penalty they were charged. They represent that they were busy for almost a week repairing the banks, and were only a few days late in paying their taxes. They have also still not been paid £5 due for earth supplied to the Corporation. They ask to be paid for the earth taken, or for the penalty to be remitted. They also report that their bridge has been washed out of place, and that it is very dangerous. They ask for it to be repaired. Twelve signatories.
