DescriptionThe petitioner was appointed the ferryman at Littleport in April 1677 for 12 years, but was turned out of the post after only 9 years. He represents that he has spent £60 in building a house convenient for his employment. He asks to be reinstated, and to be paid £8 due to him for his last year's work and 20s due to him for the repair of his boats. Twenty three signatories.
